1/21/25 - Updating just in case anyone wonders why I don't post about this more.
Well, I was replaced on this project by a lovely celebrity who has already crushed the narration. No big deal, that's showbiz! I hope the movie gets a lot of kids interested in science and conservation. It's still going to be beautiful.
I'm being mysterious about the narrator so Call of the Dolphins has the fun of announcing the new voice. Below is the version with my voice, click here for the version with the new voice is you're curious.
More info from the YouTube post: "A film for IMAX and giant screen theaters, Call of the Dolphins takes viewers deep inside the fascinating world of wild dolphins for a close-up look at their social lives and the profound connection we share with these remarkable animals.
Meet the people who have dedicated their lives to studying and protecting them. Their stories show the deep bonds forged between humans and dolphins over centuries and inspire a renewed dedication to preserving their ocean home.
Produced by Oceanic Research Group Films and directed by Jonathan Bird. Presented by MacGillivray Freeman Films."
As far as details it's about 40 minutes long and appropriate for all ages. There is one part with some dolphin peril, but you probably don't have to worry about anyone bursting into tears.
I've done a lot of narration this year, so it might be time to update my Narration Demo soon. I worked with The Voiceover Gurus for my last one and I love it (although I think I've grown as a Narrator since then thanks to this year).
